Love Never Keeps Promises, Only Promises Keep Love

Love Never Keeps Promises, Only Promises Keep Love Why the Foundation of Human Love is Not Feeling, but Commitment --- Introduction Since the fall of humanity into sin, our ability to love perfectly has been tainted. Human love becomes fragile, inconsistent, and vulnerable to self-interest. In this condition, God no longer bases His relationship with humanity on easily forgotten "words of love," but on eternal covenantal promises. This principle applies not only to the relationship between humans and God but also to interpersonal relationships—including marriage. --- 1. Love Never Keeps Promises Love, in the sense of human feeling, is fluctuating. It can strengthen in times of joy and weaken in the midst of difficulty. The biblical narrative is full of examples of human infidelity: - Israel repeatedly forgot their love for God and turned to idols. - David, called "a man after God's own heart," fell into adultery and murder. - Peter, who claimed he was ready to...

Blessings & Fortune

From a Christian perspective (based on the Bible), there are several factors that can hinder blessings/fortune in a person's life. However, it's important to remember that God doesn't always work like an automatic machine (e.g., "do A → get B"), but He cares about the growth of our faith and character.

Reasons Why Provisions Are Blocked According to Biblical Principles

 1. Living in Willful Sin

- "If I see sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." (Psalm 66:18).

- Examples: Fraud, corruption, greed, or neglect of responsibility.

- Solution: Confession of sin, repentance, and improvement of life (1 John 1:9).

 2. Unfaithful in Tithes & Offerings

- "Bring the whole tithe to the house of the Lord...test me, says the Lord, will I not open the gates of heaven for you?" (Malachi 3:10).

- God wants us to put Him first, including in finances.

- Note: This is not a "pay-as-you-go system" but a sign of faith and recognition that everything comes from God.

3. A Heart That Doesn't Want to Give

- "A generous person will have plenty, and he who gives water will be given water." (Proverbs 11:25).

- Stinginess or selfishness often blocks the flow of blessings (Luke 6:38).

4. Lazy or Irresponsible

- "A lazy person will become poor, but a diligent person will become rich." (Proverbs 10:4).

   - God blesses hard work and wisdom (not just "passive prayer").

5. Spiritual Struggle (Test/The Devil Steals)

- "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy." (John 10:10).

- The devil can block blessings through:

- Generational curses (if there is hereditary sin, it needs to be broken).

- Spiritual warfare (e.g. economic pressure without clear reason).

- Solution: Pray, fast, and claim God's promises (Matthew 17:21).

6. Not God's Time

- "He has made everything beautiful in its time." (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

- God may be training our patience and dependence on Him.

 What to do?

1. Self-introspection: Check whether there are any sins/God's promises that have been ignored.

2. Repent & Restitution: If there is a mistake, admit it and correct it.

3. Increase Faith & Action:

   - Work diligently + believe in God who blesses.

   - Faithful in tithing & helping others.

4. Spiritual Warfare Prayer:

- "Lord, open Your way for me, show me if there is anything that is blocking Your blessing. I claim Your promise in Philippians 4:19!"

 Vital Records

- God is not a spiritual ATM machine. Sometimes "obstructed fortune" is actually His way of protecting us from danger or teaching us something more valuable (e.g., character, faith).

- Don't blame yourself or others. Focus on solutions, not guilt!

If you're still confused, you can discuss it with your pastor/pastor for prayer and guidance. May God open the way! 🙏

God Bless
