Kuntillet Ajrud Inscription (8th Century BC, Sinai) -   An inscription was found reading "Yahweh and his Asherah" (possibly referring to a divine pair of Yahweh and the goddess Asherah). -   It indicates that Yahweh was worshipped in regions outside Israel, perhaps by Edomites or Midianites. b.
